With the World Health Organization declaring the coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic illness earlier this month, and the recent guidance from the federal and provincial governments, the BC Fire Training Officers’ Association have been taking necessary and reasonable precautions to prepare for possible impacts. The health and safety of our members is paramount and we will continue to respond appropriately to this rapidly evolving situation.
The BCFTOA executive have discussed the impact to our members, and considering solutions moving forward. With the announcement made by the BC Health Minister, Adrian Dix to ban all gatherings of more than fifty, the BCFTOA executive feel it would be in the best interest of our members and the public we serve to cancel our Annual BCFTOA Conference in Coquitlam.
It is important for you to know, if you have booked accommodations for the conference, you will need to call the hotel to cancel your reservation(s).
For updates moving forward please refer to our website http://www.bcftoa.com or our FaceBook page and we will provide updates as they unfold.
For those currently registered for our conference and paid via credit card, we will be issuing a refund over the next week.
Thank you for your understanding.
Please do not hesitate to contact email@example.com if you need clarification.
BC Fire Training Officers’ Association
The British Columbia Fire Training Officers Association, more commonly referred as the BCFTOA, is dedicated to gathering information on training standards and providing this information to fire departments so they may effectively and safely train their members. In a world of ever changing standards and regulations, this organization provides fire departments with the most current, up-to-date course information and training requirements. The BCFTOA will help develop, and support the work of those leaders and organizations in order that they may best provide training for members and affiliated Associations.
